Along with your overall score, you'll receive a score based on the following key areas:

Prevention/Do no harm
There is no point putting great initiatives in place if, in the first instance, you’re putting your worker’s health at risk. Assess, evaluate, and control your workplace health risks.

Basic Health Needs
If your employees basic needs aren’t being met (i.e. being paid correctly, adequate welfare facilities, working the correct hours) it will be hard to get their engagement - get the basics right.

Organisational Enablers
Make sure you have clear vision and values. Having the correct policies, procedures and cultures that enable your workers to perform at their best is crucial.

Support Health Needs
In a current climate where its hard to access primary care services, providing health support access to your workers can ensure early intervention, and reduce days lost. Upskilling line-managers so they understand the role they play.

Added Value Activities
This includes health promotion, campaigns/initiatives. Often this is the starting point for many organisations, free fruit yoga classes, or health campaigns. These are great but only add value if other elements are in place.
What's the Benefit?
Completing the scorecard gives you a clear understanding of how well your organization supports its workforce and identifies areas for improvement. A strong health and wellbeing strategy can reduce absenteeism, improve productivity, help you win more work, and boost morale, ensuring your team feels valued and supported. By taking this step, you’re investing in a healthier and happier workplace and aligning with best practices that enhance both employee satisfaction and business outcomes.
It’s an opportunity to lead the way in creating a construction industry where health is prioritised as much as safety.
